We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Mandarin Translator (Mandarin–Indonesian) to join an active, large-scale construction project located in Jakarta Utara. In this role, you will serve as the primary communication bridge between Chinese expatriate management, technical teams, and Indonesian local engineers, subcontractors, and field staff.
The ideal candidate possesses deep fluency in both spoken and written Mandarin and Indonesian, with a solid grasp of construction and engineering terminology. You will work closely with project managers, safety officers, and technical specialists to ensure daily site operations, technical specifications, safety protocols, and commercial documents are accurately understood and executed without miscommunication.

Tanggung Jawab
- Provide direct, real-time verbal interpretation during daily site briefings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions between Chinese and Indonesian personnel.
- Accurately translate technical drawings, project schedules, safety guidelines (HSE), material specifications, and contracts between Mandarin and Indonesian.
- Accompany project managers and foreign engineers during daily site walk-throughs and inspections to facilitate immediate field directives.
- Draft and translate formal reports, meeting minutes, letters of instruction, and official project correspondence.
- Facilitate smooth cross-cultural communication to prevent operational delays, misunderstandings, and safety hazards.
- Assist administrative and HR departments with onboarding, worker briefings, and resolving site-level personnel inquiries.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Chinese Literature, Translation/Interpretation, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum HSK Level 5 or equivalent verified fluency in Mandarin (speaking, listening, reading, and writing).
- At least 2 to 3 years of translation experience within the construction, engineering, heavy industry, or EPC sectors.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technical civil engineering, construction terminology, and site safety procedures.
- Native or bilingual proficiency in Indonesian.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle high-pressure construction environments and cross-cultural teams.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Jakarta Utara.
