Aether Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to architect, build, and optimize high-throughput distributed infrastructure. In this role, you will own critical microservices supporting data-intensive workloads, ensuring sub-millisecond latencies, system resilience, and clean platform interfaces.
We emphasize pragmatic system design, minimal abstraction layers, and engineering velocity. You will collaborate directly with cross-functional technical teams to deploy core platform capabilities that scale reliably to millions of concurrent requests.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect and maintain low-latency, resilient backend microservices using Go and PostgreSQL.
- Design distributed streaming pipelines handling multi-terabyte daily datasets via Kafka and gRPC.
- Optimize relational queries, connection pooling, and multi-region caching strategies with Redis.
- Build automated CI/CD workflows and manage container orchestration across multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
- Enforce high standards for code quality, comprehensive test coverage, and documentation across repositories.
- Participate in on-call rotations to diagnose and remediate production incidents with clear root-cause analyses.
Kualifikasi
- 5+ years of software engineering experience specializing in Go, Rust, or modern C++.
- Proven background architecting and debugging high-availability distributed systems in production.
- Advanced operational knowledge of relational databases, indexing, and execution planning in PostgreSQL.
- Deep familiarity with container runtimes, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure primitives on AWS.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, distributed transactions, and concurrency patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
