At Apex Cloud Solutions, we are architecting the future of scalable infrastructure for Fortune 500 clients and high-growth startups alike. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, treats infrastructure as code, and believes observability is a first-class citizen.
You will join a high-autonomy platform squad responsible for the reliability, velocity, and security of our multi-cloud Kubernetes ecosystem. This is not a "ticket-taking" role; you will drive architectural decisions, mentor senior engineers, and build the internal developer platform that powers our product velocity.

Tanggung Jawab
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, multi-region Kubernetes clusters (EKS/GKE) using GitOps patterns (ArgoCD/Flux) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt).
- Architect and evolve our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) on Backstage, enabling self-service capabilities for 100+ engineers (environments, secrets, deployments, scorecards).
- Lead the strategy for cloud cost optimization (FinOps), implementing rightsizing, spot instance automation, and commitment management saving >$2M annually.
- Build and enforce security guardrails: Policy-as-Code (OPA/Gatekeeper), supply chain security (SLSA, Sigstore), and zero-trust networking (Cilium, Istio).
- Establish SLO/SLI frameworks; develop sophisticated observability stacks (Grafana, Tempo, Loki, Prometheus) enabling sub-minute incident detection.
- Mentor staff engineers and lead incident response for SEV-0/SEV-1 events, driving blameless postmortems and systemic remediation.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging CNCF technologies (e.g., WebAssembly, eBPF, Crossplane) to solve platform bottlenecks before they impact product teams.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years software engineering experience, with 5+ years focused on Platform/DevOps/SRE at scale (10k+ nodes, multi-cloud).
- Expert-level proficiency in Go or Python for building controllers, operators, and CLI tooling (not just scripting).
- Deep production expertise with Kubernetes internals (scheduling, networking CNI, storage CSI, control plane stability).
- Proven track record designing Internal Developer Platforms (Backstage, Port, or custom) and driving adoption across engineering orgs.
- Advanced Terraform architecture: modules, workspaces, state management, testing (Terratest), and provider development.
- Strong grasp of Linux internals, networking (BGP, VPC, eBPF), and distributed systems fundamentals (CAP theorem, consensus).
- Experience with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD/Flux) and progressive delivery (Argo Rollouts, Flagger, Istio).
- Excellent communication skills; ability to write detailed RFCs and present architectural trade-offs to VPs and ICs alike.
