Nexus Systems is seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to design, scale, and maintain high-throughput backend services. In this role, you will lead architecture initiatives, eliminate single points of failure, and optimize real-time data pipelines processing millions of events per second.
We prioritize boring technology that works reliably over complex abstractions. You will work directly with platform engineers and product owners to ship performant, secure, and maintainable software.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, deploy, and maintain fault-tolerant distributed backend services in Go and Rust.
- Optimize high-volume data streams and storage layers using Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks and race conditions across multi-region infrastructure.
- Automate deployment pipelines and telemetry using Terraform, Kubernetes, and OpenTelemetry.
- Establish engineering standards through rigorous peer code reviews and architectural RFCs.
- Participate in a blameless on-call rotation to uphold a 99.99% system availability SLA.
Kualifikasi
- 5+ years of experience engineering backend systems in Go, Rust, or C++.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and scaling distributed systems with strict latency requirements.
- Deep working knowledge of SQL databases, data normalization, and indexing strategies.
- Hands-on experience orchestrating workloads using Kubernetes and managing cloud infrastructure via AWS or GCP.
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals: algorithms, concurrency patterns, and network protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
