Vanguard Cloud Systems is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead the architecture, automation, and operational resilience of our global edge infrastructure. You will partner directly with core engineering teams to build self-healing distributed platforms, optimize system observability, and eliminate operational bottlenecks at scale.
We prioritize automation over toil and clean platform abstractions over manual intervention. If you are driven by high availability, deterministic infrastructure, and deep systems engineering, this role is for you.
Tanggung Jawab
- Design, deploy, and maintain multi-region Kubernetes clusters across public cloud environments.
- Establish, track, and defend Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Error Budgets with product teams.
- Architect comprehensive observability frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Jaeger.
- Eliminate operational toil by authoring declarative automation and internal platform tooling in Go and Python.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and drive blameless post-mortem operational improvements.
- Participate in a distributed, follow-the-sun on-call rotation with dedicated engineering sprint support.
Kualifikasi
- 5+ years of production experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Architecture.
- Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, system tuning, networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, HTTP/3).
- Demonstrated production mastery of Kubernetes orchestration and container runtimes at scale.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling, specifically Terraform or Pulumi.
- Software engineering competence in at least one systems language (Go, Python, or Rust).
- Proven track record implementing distributed tracing, logging, and metrics aggregation systems.
