Vektor Labs is seeking an exceptional Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and deployment of our high-throughput distributed systems platform. In this role, you will define core technical standards, eliminate architectural bottlenecks, and drive engineering excellence across multiple cross-functional infrastructure teams.
We prioritize clear ownership, rapid iteration, and boring, resilient technology over unnecessary complexity. You will work alongside top-tier systems engineers to scale our platform to millions of requests per second with strict latency and reliability guarantees.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, build, and maintain highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed backend services handling petabyte-scale data flows.
- Partner with product and infrastructure leadership to establish technical roadmaps and architectural standards across the organization.
- Conduct deep-dive profiling, bottleneck analysis, and low-latency optimizations across production microservices.
- Establish engineering best practices for testing, telemetry, continuous delivery, and incident response.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers through rigorous code reviews, architecture design reviews, and technical coaching.
- Drive platform reliability initiatives, maintaining a target of 99.99% uptime across critical infrastructure components.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience designing and running high-scale distributed backend systems.
- Demonstrated mastery of systems-level programming using Go, Rust, or modern C++.
- Deep technical expertise with relational and non-relational datastores including PostgreSQL and distributed key-value caches.
- Extensive hands-on experience with containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, and cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
- Proven track record of defining architecture for systems processing tens of thousands of concurrent operations per second.
- Solid grounding in networking protocols, concurrency primitives, and distributed consensus mechanisms.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical industry engineering experience.
