Monee is seeking an analytical and strategic Senior Underwriter - Insurance to join our team in Jakarta Raya. In this role, you will evaluate and price quotation requests for Group Insurance schemes, ensuring all risk assessments are rigorously executed and aligned with company guidelines.
You will serve as a key technical authority, balancing commercial competitiveness with prudent risk selection. Working closely with sales teams, brokers, and reinsurers, you will structure optimal coverage solutions for corporate clients while protecting portfolio loss ratios. This position is ideal for an experienced insurance professional eager to drive underwriting excellence and mentor junior team members in a dynamic financial environment.
Tanggung Jawab
- Assess, underwrite, and price complex Group Life and Health insurance quotation requests within authorized limits.
- Analyze claims experience, demographic factors, and occupational hazards to determine appropriate premium rates and policy terms.
- Collaborate with distribution channels and brokers to negotiate policy terms and secure profitable business.
- Monitor loss ratios and portfolio performance to identify underwriting trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure underwriting practices comply with internal governance standards and OJK regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with treaty and facultative reinsurers for risk placement exceeding internal retention limits.
- Guide and mentor junior underwriters on technical guidelines and risk assessment methodologies.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional underwriting experience specializing in Group Insurance.
- Professional insurance accreditation (e.g., AAIJ, AAAIK, ANZIIF, or ACII) is strongly preferred.
- Strong command of group risk assessment, medical underwriting principles, and pricing mechanisms.
- Sound understanding of local insurance market dynamics and OJK regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and contract negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
