ScaleGrid Systems is looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to architect, build, and scale our core high-throughput distributed infrastructure. In this role, you will lead critical architectural decisions, eliminate performance bottlenecks across real-time data pipelines, and establish technical standards for an elite engineering team.
We prioritize pragmatic architecture, high velocity, and clean execution over unnecessary complexity. You will work directly with principal leaders to power infrastructure processing millions of events per second with strict latency guarantees.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, implement, and maintain fault-tolerant distributed services handling high-concurrency workloads.
- Lead system performance tuning, profiling, and query optimization across microservices and storage tiers.
- Drive engineering best practices in reliability, testing, automated deployments, and observability.
- Collaborate with product and security leadership to design hardened, scalable API specifications.
- Mentor senior engineers through technical reviews, design proposals, and incident post-mortems.
- Evaluate emerging platforms and tooling to systematically minimize technical debt.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience delivering distributed backend platforms at scale.
- Deep proficiency in Go, Rust, or modern C++ with an emphasis on concurrent programming.
- Expertise in relational and non-relational datastores including PostgreSQL and distributed key-value engines.
- Proven record designing and tuning message brokers and streaming pipelines such as Apache Kafka.
- Thorough understanding of Linux internals, network protocols, gRPC, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Strong background in cloud-native system design within AWS or GCP environments.
