ScaleGrid Systems is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to drive the core architecture of our distributed data platform. In this role, you will lead the technical direction for mission-critical infrastructure handling high-throughput ingest pipelines and real-time processing. You will partner with cross-functional leadership to define technical standards, eliminate platform bottlenecks, and deploy scalable cloud services across multi-region environments.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect and implement resilient distributed systems handling over 100,000 requests per second.
- Lead architectural reviews and establish engineering standards across backend squads.
- Optimize high-throughput relational and distributed database queries and storage layers.
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to define long-term technical roadmaps.
- Mentor senior engineers through technical guidance, system design reviews, and pair programming.
- Troubleshoot high-impact production incidents and execute long-term preventative fixes.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience in backend software engineering using Go, Java, or Rust.
- Proven track record architecting high-scale distributed systems in cloud environments (AWS or GCP).
- Deep expertise in relational data modeling, query optimization, and distributed cache design.
- Hands-on experience with real-time stream processing architectures using Apache Kafka or Apache Flink.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Demonstrated leadership in technical RFC creation and cross-team alignment.
