Nexus Distributed Systems is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to architect, scale, and optimize core infrastructure processing billions of daily transactions.
You will lead critical architectural initiatives across globally distributed databases, high-throughput streaming pipelines, and mission-critical cloud services. This role demands deep domain expertise in systems engineering, high concurrency, and production reliability.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, build, and maintain low-latency, mission-critical distributed backend services handling 100k+ RPS.
- Drive engineering standards, technical roadmaps, and architectural reviews across multiple engineering squads.
- Diagnose complex performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and distributed deadlocks in production environments.
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to define long-term architectural visions and system boundaries.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through detailed code reviews, architecture RFCs, and engineering workshops.
- Establish operational excellence by improving observability, automated testing coverage, and incident response pipelines.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience building high-scale backend services in Go, Rust, C++, or Java.
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining distributed data systems using PostgreSQL, Redis, and Apache Kafka.
- Extensive operational knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and modern cloud providers (AWS, GCP).
- Strong mastery of concurrency patterns, memory management, and network protocols (HTTP/2, gRPC, TCP).
- Proven track record leading complex technical initiatives from design RFC through multi-region production rollout.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
