Nexus Systems is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to architect, scale, and maintain our core distributed cloud platform in San Francisco.
You will lead engineering initiatives, resolve complex systems bottlenecks, and build high-throughput, fault-tolerant services powering critical customer workflows.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect and maintain resilient distributed microservices handling millions of events daily.
- Drive technical roadmaps and architectural standards across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Optimize relational and NoSQL storage layers, caching systems, and streaming pipelines.
- Direct incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and mitigation strategies for tier-1 systems.
- Standardize CI/CD, testing methodologies, and distributed tracing instrumentation.
- Mentor mid-level and senior engineers on design patterns and systems performance.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production backend software engineering experience.
- High proficiency in Go, Rust, or Java within containerized cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience designing high-scale APIs and streaming architectures using Kafka or similar.
- Expertise in PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure.
- Proven ability to break down ambiguous business requirements into robust technical specifications.
- Deep background in distributed systems fundamentals, concurrency, and network performance.
