Nexus Scale Systems is seeking an experienced Staff Backend Engineer to design, scale, and optimize core distributed infrastructure handling millions of transactions per second. In this role, you will define architecture, guide technical decisions across cross-functional teams, and solve complex latency and throughput challenges in a mission-critical cloud environment.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, build, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant microservices using Go and PostgreSQL.
- Drive performance tuning and optimizations to reduce latency across high-throughput distributed systems.
- Partner with product, security, and infrastructure teams to define roadmap execution and technical strategy.
- Lead complex system migrations and continuous data layer scaling without service interruption.
- Mentor senior engineers through technical reviews, design workshops, and actionable feedback.
- Establish observability, reliability, and incident-response standards across production services.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience in backend software engineering with distributed systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in compiled systems languages, primarily Go or Rust.
- Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL query optimization and indexing strategies.
- Hands-on experience with message brokers and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure design on AWS or GCP using Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Proven record of owning mission-critical architecture from system design to high-load production deployment.
