Vortex Data Systems is seeking an exceptional Staff Backend Engineer to drive the architectural evolution of our distributed streaming platform. In this high-impact role, you will design resilient, low-latency microservices handling millions of operations per second, establishing engineering standards and scaling our core multi-tenant infrastructure.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, build, and maintain low-latency, mission-critical distributed services using Go and Rust.
- Lead system architecture design and enforce technical standards across cross-functional backend teams.
- Optimize high-throughput datastores, partition topologies, and caching tiers for maximum reliability and performance.
- Partner with infrastructure and security teams to implement robust CI/CD, observability, and container orchestration workflows.
- Conduct deep-dive incident investigations and implement systemic solutions to mitigate future operational risks.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through technical design reviews and architectural governance.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience designing and operating distributed software systems.
- Advanced operational fluency in Go, Rust, or modern C++.
- Demonstrated experience scaling distributed messaging systems like Apache Kafka or Pulsar.
- Deep working knowledge of relational database internals (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores at scale.
- Proficiency with containerized orchestration systems using Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
- Proven ability to break down complex architectural trade-offs into practical, deliverable roadmaps.
