ScaleGrid Systems is seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and operations of our global cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will define the foundational distributed platforms enabling hundreds of production microservices across multi-region deployments.
We prioritize automation, developer velocity, zero-trust security, and high-resilience systems capable of handling millions of daily transactions. You will partner directly with engineering leaders to set company-wide technical standards.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, build, and operate resilient multi-tenant Kubernetes platform infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Develop internal developer platforms and CLI tools using Go to streamline service provisioning and deployment workflows.
- Lead observability initiatives using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and distributed tracing systems.
- Define service-level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets to optimize reliability and release speed.
- Mentor senior engineers on distributed systems design, fault tolerance patterns, and infrastructure security.
- Participate in a senior escalation on-call rotation and lead blameless post-mortem reviews.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience in platform engineering, systems programming, or site reliability engineering.
- Proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python for building production-grade automation services.
- Deep operational mastery of Kubernetes internals, container runtimes, and service meshes (e.g., Istio).
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Demonstrated experience designing high-throughput, low-latency architectures in public cloud environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical engineering experience.
