Nexus Distributed Systems is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to architect, scale, and maintain our high-throughput data processing platforms. In this role, you will lead the core service architecture handling over 100,000 transactions per second, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure 99.99% system availability.
We prioritize zero-bloat system design, strict consistency, and engineering autonomy. You will collaborate directly with principal architects and infrastructure teams to deploy fault-tolerant services using modern cloud infrastructure.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend microservices using Go and PostgreSQL.
- Design fault-tolerant distributed event streams handling sub-millisecond latencies.
- Identify, profile, and optimize performance bottlenecks across databases, networking, and application runtimes.
- Establish engineering standards through robust code reviews, technical designs, and automated testing suites.
- Implement observability, distributed tracing, and metrics instrumentation using OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to streamline automated deployment pipelines on Kubernetes.
Kualifikasi
- 5+ years of production experience building and operating distributed backend services.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Go, Rust, or modern C++ in production environments.
- Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) including query profiling and indexing strategies.
- Production experience with distributed streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis.
- Solid foundation in network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/2, gRPC) and Linux systems primitives.
- Track record of owning services through the full lifecycle from architectural design to on-call support.
