Apex Scale Systems seeks an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to architect, build, and optimize high-throughput distributed systems. You will drive core service development, scale low-latency data pipelines, and ensure high availability across critical cloud infrastructure.
We value end-to-end ownership, robust system design, and pragmatic technical execution. This position is based in our hybrid San Francisco engineering hub.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect and maintain low-latency, scalable backend services utilizing Go and PostgreSQL.
- Design, benchmark, and deploy resilient gRPC and REST APIs handling high query volumes.
- Ensure 99.99% service uptime via comprehensive distributed tracing, metrics, and alerting.
- Optimize streaming data pipelines processing millions of daily events via Apache Kafka.
- Lead architectural reviews, set code quality standards, and mentor intermediate engineers.
- Partner with infrastructure engineers to streamline Kubernetes orchestration and CI/CD workflows.
Kualifikasi
- 5+ years of software engineering experience deploying distributed systems in production.
- Expertise in Go, Rust, or modern C++ with strong grasp of concurrency patterns.
- Extensive experience with relational database tuning (PostgreSQL) and distributed data stores.
- Hands-on knowledge of event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Production experience with cloud providers (AWS or GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
