Aether Systems is seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer to lead core infrastructure initiatives and drive distributed systems architecture at scale.
In this role, you will architect resilient internal developer platforms, optimize multi-region Kubernetes clusters, and establish engineering standards across cross-functional infrastructure teams. You will work directly with principal leaders to eliminate operational bottlenecks and enable high-velocity deployments across critical enterprise services.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, scale, and maintain high-throughput internal developer platforms on AWS and bare-metal environments.
- Design resilient infrastructure-as-code patterns using Terraform and Kubernetes controllers.
- Define service-level objectives (SLOs) and observability strategies using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
- Standardize zero-trust networking, secret management, and platform security baselines.
- Mentor senior engineers through technical design reviews and architectural governance.
- Lead post-incident analyses to remediate root causes and prevent cross-service cascading failures.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of professional software engineering and cloud infrastructure experience.
- Deep production expertise in Go, Python, or Rust for systems tooling.
- Proven record scaling Kubernetes clusters across multi-account enterprise topologies.
- Demonstrated mastery of distributed consensus, low-latency networking, and kernel internals.
- Strong experience implementing automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment safety controls.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent engineering track record.
