Apex Cloud Solutions is building the next-generation infrastructure platform powering real-time analytics for Fortune 500 enterprises. We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and operation of our core Kubernetes-based platform running on AWS/GCP.
You will operate at the intersection of software engineering and systems engineering, building self-service tooling that empowers product teams to deploy securely and rapidly. This is a high-impact role with significant autonomy, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.

Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, build, and maintain a highly available, multi-region Kubernetes platform (EKS/GKE) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Crossplane).
- Design and implement developer self-service platforms (Backstage, ArgoCD) to reduce deployment lead time to minutes.
- Define and enforce platform SLIs/SLOs; build observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) for proactive incident response.
- Hardening platform security: Implement Zero Trust networking (Cilium, Istio), secrets management (Vault), and policy enforcement (OPA/Gatekeeper).
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; conduct architectural reviews and drive technical strategy for the Platform group.
- Optimize cloud spend through advanced FinOps practices (Kubecost, rightsizing, spot instance automation).
- Contribute to open-source tooling and represent Apex at industry conferences (KubeCon, SREcon).
Kualifikasi
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years dedicated to Platform/Infrastructure/DevOps engineering.
- Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes internals (Controllers, Operators, CRDs, Scheduling, CNI/CSI).
- Deep proficiency in Go (preferred) or Python for building controllers, operators, and CLI tools.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS) or GCP; Terraform module development is mandatory.
- Proven track record building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) using GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) and Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd/Cilium).
- Strong systems background: Linux kernel, networking (TCP/IP, BGP, eBPF), and distributed systems theory (CAP, Consensus).
- Experience leading incident response for high-severity outages and conducting blameless postmortems.
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
