Vanguard Systems is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to scale our core distributed data platform in San Francisco. In this role, you will define architecture, lead critical engineering initiatives, and optimize high-throughput services processing millions of events daily. Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, implement, and maintain distributed microservices using Go and Python.
- Drive technical roadmaps and author architectural decision records for cross-functional initiatives.
- Optimize relational and non-relational datastores including PostgreSQL and Redis for low-latency queries.
- Standardize observability, telemetry, and automated deployment pipelines across cloud infrastructure.
- Mentor mid-level and senior engineers through design reviews and pair programming.
- Resolve production bottlenecks to maintain 99.99% platform availability.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of software development experience specializing in backend distributed systems.
- Advanced production proficiency with Go, Python, or Java.
- Deep expertise in concurrent programming, event streaming (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and API design.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing workloads via Kubernetes and AWS.
- Proven record leading large-scale architectural migrations without downtime.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical production experience.
