Nexus Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Staff Backend Engineer to drive the technical direction of our high-throughput distributed runtime engine. In this role, you will lead the core architecture that processes millions of transactions per second with sub-millisecond latencies.
We prioritize clear system boundaries, high availability, and measurable impact over process overhead. You will work with a senior technical team to build durable systems that scale.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, design, and operate mission-critical distributed storage and computing services.
- Define architectural standards, reliability benchmarks, and coding guidelines across engineering teams.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize memory allocation, concurrency, and I/O efficiency.
- Lead root-cause analysis for complex production incidents and implement systemic safeguards.
- Mentor senior engineers through technical design reviews and paired programming.
- Partner with product leads to translate platform capacity constraints into clear product roadmaps.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience shipping high-reliability backend systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in low-level systems programming using Go, Rust, or C++.
- Deep expertise in distributed consensus protocols, distributed storage, and consistency models.
- Proven track record managing large-scale PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, or Cassandra deployments.
- Strong background with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Experience instrumenting services with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and distributed tracing.
