Apex Data Systems is seeking an experienced Staff Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale our core high-throughput distributed data platform. In this role, you will lead critical architectural decisions, set technical standards, and solve complex data pipeline bottlenecks handling billions of events daily.
We operate modern Go and Rust microservices on top of Kubernetes and AWS. You will collaborate directly with principal architects and product leads to build reliable, high-performance services that scale seamlessly with our rapid enterprise customer growth.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, implement, and maintain highly scalable backend services using Go and distributed data stores.
- Drive technical roadmaps and architectural standards across multiple engineering teams.
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance, concurrency, and scalability bottlenecks across distributed systems.
- Partner with product and security leadership to design resilient enterprise APIs and internal frameworks.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through technical reviews, design sessions, and collaborative pair programming.
- Establish operational excellence by driving automated testing, monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD best practices.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience delivering scalable backend systems in Go, Java, or Rust.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and operating distributed databases such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or CockroachDB.
- Deep understanding of distributed consensus, event-driven architecture, and messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Hands-on production experience managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker on AWS or GCP.
- Strong background in API design principles including gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and RESTful standards.
- Track record of technical leadership, cross-team alignment, and end-to-end system ownership.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical industry experience.
