Synthetix Systems is seeking an exceptional Staff Backend Engineer to architect, scale, and optimize our core distributed platform. You will lead technical direction across critical data pipelines, establish architectural standards, and drive performance across high-throughput distributed services.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with principal engineers and product leaders to ensure our platform effortlessly handles rapid traffic growth while maintaining 99.99% availability.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, build, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency microservices in Go and Python.
- Lead technical architecture discussions, produce RFCs, and drive engineering-wide design standards.
- Optimize relational and distributed data storage layers across PostgreSQL and Redis clusters.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through technical design reviews and rigorous pair programming.
- Drive site reliability, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines to guarantee high system availability.
- Identify and remediate bottlenecks across cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience building distributed backend systems at scale.
- Deep proficiency with Go, Rust, or Python in concurrent, network-intensive environments.
- Demonstrated mastery of relational schema design, query optimization, and distributed caching.
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and modern infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform).
- Proven track record of technical leadership, RFC authoring, and cross-team execution.
- Strong background in designing resilient event-driven systems utilizing Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
