Nexus Distributed Systems builds high-throughput infrastructure processing millions of financial events per second. We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to drive the architectural evolution of our core transaction engine. In this role, you will lead systems-level architecture, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure 99.999% platform availability across globally distributed deployments.
We prioritize pragmatic execution, rigorous engineering, and lean abstractions over complexity. You will collaborate directly with executive technical leadership and guide senior engineering talent across complex distributed topologies.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, implement, and maintain resilient, low-latency microservices handling mission-critical data flows.
- Define service boundaries, interface contracts, and distributed data storage strategies.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks across network, storage, memory, and database layers.
- Set technical standards for code quality, telemetry, automated testing, and CI/CD operations.
- Drive incident post-mortems and implement systematic fixes to prevent recurring failures.
- Mentor senior and mid-level software engineers through rigorous code and design reviews.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production software engineering experience in Go, Rust, or C++.
- Demonstrated experience designing high-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational database internals and storage engines.
- Proficiency with containerized environments, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
- Hands-on mastery of asynchronous messaging primitives (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (gRPC, TCP/IP, HTTP/2) and system concurrency models.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
