Apex Distributed Systems is seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer to architect and scale our next-generation cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will lead the core reliability, developer productivity, and platform automation initiatives powering mission-critical SaaS services globally.
You will collaborate directly with cross-functional product teams to design resilient distributed systems, optimize multi-region Kubernetes clusters, and establish best-in-class observability standards.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, deploy, and maintain multi-region Kubernetes clusters across AWS and GCP environments.
- Build internal developer platforms and CLI tools to accelerate deployment velocity and operational autonomy.
- Design and enforce robust infrastructure-as-code patterns using Terraform and modern GitOps workflows.
- Lead platform reliability, capacity planning, disaster recovery drills, and post-incident root cause analyses.
- Implement comprehensive observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing architectures using OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.
- Mentor senior engineers on distributed systems architecture, reliability engineering, and system design best practices.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience managing high-throughput distributed systems in public cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
- Extensive hands-on expertise with Kubernetes internals, container runtimes, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
- Deep proficiency in at least one modern systems programming language, preferably Go, Rust, or Python.
- Demonstrated track record designing Infrastructure-as-Code setups at scale using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Strong grasp of networking protocols, distributed consensus systems, zero-trust security, and Linux kernel fundamentals.
- Proven ability to spearhead cross-organizational technical initiatives and mentor engineering teams.
