Vektor Data Labs is hiring a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to scale our globally distributed, fault-tolerant ingestion pipelines. You will own the core event-driven infrastructure powering real-time analytics for enterprise clients. We prioritize clean architecture, strict operational resilience, and high-throughput reliability.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional platform teams to design, benchmark, and deploy mission-critical storage and transport layers handling millions of concurrent events per second.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect and maintain low-latency, event-driven streaming pipelines using Go and Apache Kafka.
- Optimize high-volume data storage layers utilizing distributed SQL and distributed key-value engines.
- Lead root-cause analysis for production regressions and implement automated preventative barriers.
- Define service-level objectives (SLOs) and observability standards using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
- Mentor intermediate engineers through technical design reviews and production readiness checklists.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to deploy and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes via GitOps.
Kualifikasi
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on backend infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Advanced production experience with Go, Rust, or modern C++.
- Demonstrated experience designing high-throughput data processing systems using Kafka, Pulsar, or equivalent tools.
- Deep understanding of distributed consensus algorithms, network protocols (TCP, HTTP/2, gRPC), and data serialization.
- Strong background with relational and distributed databases (PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, DynamoDB).
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure architectures (AWS or GCP).
