Vanguard Systems is seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer to lead the architectural evolution of our global cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will define developer experience standards, build distributed systems foundations, and automate mission-critical deployment pipelines handling billions of requests daily. You will collaborate directly with executive engineering leadership to accelerate developer velocity, ensure 99.999% uptime, and integrate modern zero-trust security postures across our multi-cloud ecosystem.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, scale, and maintain multi-region Kubernetes clusters across AWS and GCP.
- Design resilient CI/CD release pipelines to reduce build and deployment times across engineering teams.
- Develop internal developer platforms (IDP) using Go, Terraform, and Backstage.
- Lead incident mitigation efforts and conduct blameless post-mortem analysis for distributed services.
- Define infrastructure observability metrics and SLO/SLAs using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Mentor senior engineering staff and guide best practices in infrastructure-as-code and cloud security.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of technical experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or distributed systems infrastructure.
- Expertise in container orchestration platforms, specifically production-grade Kubernetes at scale.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Rust for systems automation.
- Demonstrated mastery of Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- In-depth operational knowledge of Linux networking, TCP/IP, and kernel tuning.
- Hands-on experience architecting multi-region systems on AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
