ScaleGrid Systems is seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer to lead the architectural evolution of our global cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will design distributed, resilient systems that empower over 300 product engineers to ship software safely and rapidly at scale.
You will set the standard for infrastructure reliability, drive cloud optimization initiatives across multi-region AWS deployments, and establish foundational developer platform tooling.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, build, and maintain multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure running on AWS.
- Design internal developer platforms and CLI tools to streamline CI/CD delivery pipelines.
- Drive site reliability initiatives, incident management processes, and cross-team post-mortems.
- Partner with product engineering teams to eliminate deployment friction and operational bottlenecks.
- Establish infrastructure-as-code patterns using Terraform and enforce cloud security baselines.
- Mentor senior engineers on distributed systems design, fault tolerance, and platform best practices.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience managing large-scale distributed systems and cloud operations.
- Demonstrated expertise with container orchestration at scale using Kubernetes (EKS).
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform, infrastructure-as-code automation, and configuration management.
- Strong programming background in Go, Python, or Rust for building internal tooling and services.
- Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/2, gRPC), and DNS.
- Proven track record architecting high-throughput, low-latency architectures with 99.99% availability.
