Synthetix Cloud is seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer to architect and scale our core cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our Internal Developer Platform (IDP), enabling hundreds of engineers to deploy resilient distributed systems with zero friction.
You will establish reliability standards, drive infrastructure-as-code automation, and optimize hybrid multi-cloud operations across mission-critical systems handling billions of requests daily.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, scale, and maintain multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Design self-service developer platforms and automated CI/CD pipelines to maximize engineering velocity.
- Define service-level objectives (SLOs) and implement automated self-healing mechanisms for production workloads.
- Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for complex distributed systems incidents and eliminate architectural single points of failure.
- Mentor senior engineers, drive architectural reviews, and establish modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices company-wide.
- Implement cost-governance frameworks and optimize cloud resource utilization without sacrificing performance.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience managing large-scale Linux-based distributed systems in AWS or GCP.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, container runtimes, service meshes (Istio/Linkerd), and network topologies.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or Rust for systems programming and internal tooling development.
- Advanced production mastery of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Terragrunt, or Pulumi.
- Demonstrated experience designing high-throughput observability stacks utilizing Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
- Proven track record of driving cross-functional infrastructure initiatives from technical specification to production rollout.
