Nexus Distributed Systems is hiring a Staff Platform Engineer to architect and scale our next-generation cloud infrastructure. You will own core topology, drive zero-downtime scalability initiatives, and empower product engineering teams running massive-scale microservices.
We prioritize boring, reliable technology applied to high-throughput distributed systems problems. You will directly influence company-wide architectural standards, operational reliability, and platform tooling efficiency.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, deploy, and maintain resilient multi-region infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Scale core distributed messaging and caching layers handling over 100,000 requests per second.
- Define service level objectives (SLOs) and implement automated self-healing primitives across all production clusters.
- Eliminate operational bottlenecks by designing internal developer platforms and self-service APIs.
- Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) investigations for high-severity platform incidents and drive permanent remediations.
- Mentor senior engineering staff on systems design, fault tolerance, and production excellence.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience managing high-traffic distributed infrastructure.
- Expertise in Go, Rust, or Python for systems automation and tooling.
- Advanced production-level proficiency with Kubernetes, Istio, and Linux kernel fundamentals.
- Demonstrated experience operating managed cloud databases, Kafka pipelines, and Redis clusters at scale.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling, specifically Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Deep understanding of distributed networking, TCP/IP, DNS, and modern observability frameworks.
