Deskripsi Pekerjaan
The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for a Research Fellow (Integrated Lasers) to lead research in advanced integrated photonics and semiconductor laser technologies. Working within a world-class academic environment, you will drive innovations in on-chip laser sources for optical interconnects, quantum information, and precision sensing applications.
In this role, you will direct end-to-end device development, from theoretical modeling and numerical simulation to cleanroom micro/nanofabrication and rigorous electro-optic characterization. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers and industrial partners to solve critical bottlenecks in heterogeneous integration, high-efficiency gain media, and low-loss photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
This position provides access to advanced nanofabrication and optical metrology facilities. You will have opportunities to produce high-impact publications, secure intellectual property, and present findings at leading international conferences. NUS provides a competitive compensation package and structured support for academic and industry-focused research career progression.
