ScaleGrid Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and optimize high-throughput distributed systems. In this role, you will lead core architecture initiatives, eliminate performance bottlenecks, and scale our event-driven infrastructure across global multi-region deployments.
We prioritize pragmatic engineering, high code quality, and operational simplicity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, production-grade APIs and internal platforms handling billions of requests monthly.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, implement, and maintain resilient backend services and REST/gRPC APIs using Go and PostgreSQL.
- Design and optimize high-throughput, event-driven data pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka.
- Profile, benchmark, and debug latency and throughput bottlenecks across distributed production services.
- Drive engineering best practices across testing, CI/CD automation, observability, and infrastructure as code.
- Lead architectural design reviews and provide structured, actionable mentorship to mid-level engineers.
- Participate in a blameless on-call rotation to maintain system reliability, SLOs, and uptime targets.
Kualifikasi
- 5+ years of production experience delivering backend software at scale using Go, Rust, or Java.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and tuning relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) at scale.
- Deep understanding of distributed computing principles, concurrency models, and consensus algorithms.
- Hands-on experience deploying containerized workloads to Kubernetes in AWS or GCP environments.
- Solid foundation in network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/2, gRPC) and API security standards (OAuth2, TLS).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
