About the Role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team at NexusCloud Technologies. You will be the architect of our cloud infrastructure, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure systems that power our SaaS platform serving millions of users globally.
This is a high-impact role where you will champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC), drive CI/CD pipeline optimization, and define the observability strategy for a microservices architecture running on Kubernetes. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, security teams, and product leadership to accelerate delivery velocity while maintaining enterprise-grade reliability.

Tanggung Jawab
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available Kubernetes (EKS) clusters across multi-region AWS environments using Terraform and Helm.
- Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / ArgoCD) enabling progressive delivery, automated canary analysis, and rollback capabilities for 50+ microservices.
- Implement comprehensive Observability (Metrics, Logs, Traces) using Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, and OpenTelemetry; define SLIs/SLOs/SLAs for critical user journeys.
- Lead Incident Response for SEV-1/SEV-2 outages; conduct blameless postmortems and drive preventive action items to completion.
- Harden cloud security posture: Manage IAM least-privilege policies, secrets rotation (Vault/Secrets Manager), network segmentation (VPC, Transit Gateway), and compliance automation (SOC2, GDPR).
- Optimize cloud spend through rightsizing, spot instance strategies, and FinOps tooling; manage annual budget forecasting for infrastructure costs.
- Mentor junior engineers; establish internal developer platform (IDP) standards and self-service tooling to reduce cognitive load on product teams.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (e.g., WebAssembly, eBPF, GitOps operators) to maintain technical competitive advantage.
Kualifikasi
- 7+ years professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles; 3+ years specifically managing production Kubernetes at scale.
- Expert-level proficiency with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, EKS) and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, workspaces, state management).
- Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or GitLab CI) and GitOps workflows.
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Go, Python, or Bash; ability to write operators, controllers, or custom CLI tools.
- Proven track record designing Observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry) and defining SLO-driven reliability.
- Solid understanding of Linux internals, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/2, gRPC, TLS/mTLS), and distributed systems concepts (CAP theorem, consensus, backpressure).
- Experience with Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd/Cilium) and Event-Driven Architectures (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ).
- Excellent communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams and present technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
