Vectra Systems is looking for an exceptional Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to scale our globally distributed, low-latency ingestion engine. In this role, you will design fault-tolerant primitives, optimize system throughput, and eliminate critical architectural bottlenecks across thousands of nodes.
You will collaborate closely with platform architects to define our next-generation storage and computing foundations while mentoring intermediate and junior engineers.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, implement, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency streaming and storage pipelines.
- Diagnose performance bottlenecks, lock contentions, and network saturation across large-scale distributed clusters.
- Formulate reliability standards, automated failure-recovery strategies, and chaos engineering drills.
- Define service boundaries, interface contracts, and internal RPC protocols.
- Conduct deep code reviews and enforce strict engineering standards across core systems.
- Participate in a blameless, tier-3 engineering escalation on-call rotation.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of production experience with Go, Rust, or modern C++.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and operating distributed protocols (Raft, Paxos) and storage engines.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux internals, eBPF, TCP/IP networking, and kernel-level tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, ClickHouse, RocksDB, or similar high-volume technologies.
- Proven record of mitigating production outages in high-load, multi-region cloud deployments.
