Nexus Cloud Systems is seeking an exceptional Senior Staff Software Engineer to spearhead our core infrastructure initiatives in San Francisco. In this role, you will architect foundational platforms handling millions of real-time transactions daily while setting technical standards across our engineering organization.
You will collaborate closely with principal engineers and executive leadership to define system boundaries, elevate engineering velocity, and ensure rock-solid reliability at scale.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, design, and deploy fault-tolerant, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Lead technical roadmap initiatives and cross-functional architecture reviews.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers across product and platform squads.
- Diagnose complex production bottlenecks to guarantee 99.99% system availability.
- Drive best practices across CI/CD automation, testing, and observability.
- Partner with product management to balance technical debt with rapid feature delivery.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Go, Rust, or modern C++.
- Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, service meshes, and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
- Proven track record with high-throughput data stores such as PostgreSQL and distributed streaming with Apache Kafka.
- Demonstrated experience defining architectural patterns across multi-team engineering units.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical industry experience.
