Apex Distributed Labs is seeking an exceptional Staff Backend Engineer to architect, scale, and maintain our high-throughput data infrastructure. In this role, you will lead the technical direction for core streaming pipelines, drive mission-critical architecture decisions, and mentor senior engineering talent.
We solve deep challenges in distributed consensus, low-latency processing, and multi-region synchronization. You will operate with high autonomy, direct business impact, and modern cloud-native tooling.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, implement, and operate fault-tolerant distributed systems serving millions of concurrent requests.
- Drive end-to-end technical strategy for low-latency streaming infrastructure and storage engines.
- Lead architectural reviews, set engineering standards, and conduct deep code reviews.
- Identify and remediate performance bottlenecks across microservices and storage tiers.
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to deliver high-availability cloud solutions.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through technical design feedback and paired debugging.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience designing and shipping backend software at scale.
- Deep proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or C++ with expertise in memory and concurrency models.
- Proven track record with distributed systems (Raft, Paxos, Kafka, Cassandra, or CockroachDB).
- Extensive experience debugging complex network, OS, and cloud infrastructure issues under high load.
- Strong grasp of data modeling, eventual consistency, and ACID transactions at scale.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
