Nexus Cloud Systems is seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer to lead core infrastructure initiatives at our San Francisco headquarters. In this role, you will define the architectural foundation supporting resilient, high-throughput cloud environments and build internal developer platforms that maximize velocity across our engineering organization.
You will partner with cross-functional leadership to scale distributed systems, implement zero-trust security postures, and mentor engineering teams on reliability best practices.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, deploy, and maintain multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure across AWS environments.
- Design and implement internal developer platforms (IDPs) to streamline service deployment workflows.
- Define, monitor, and enforce Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and observability standards.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) governance using Terraform and GitOps delivery pipelines.
- Lead critical production incident investigations and formulate long-term remediation strategies.
- Mentor mid- and senior-level engineers on distributed systems resilience and platform patterns.
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience in platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles.
- Demonstrated mastery of Kubernetes administration, networking, and cluster security at scale.
- Proficiency in systems programming with Go or Python for automation and custom tooling.
- Deep operational expertise with AWS cloud services, networking architectures, and IAM governance.
- Hands-on experience implementing infrastructure state management via Terraform and Helm.
- Strong background in distributed tracing, Prometheus metrics collection, and Datadog monitoring.
