Synthetix Systems is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to architect and scale our multi-region distributed infrastructure. You will design developer platforms, improve service resilience, and eliminate deployment friction for over 200 product engineers.
This role offers high technical autonomy, direct access to executive leadership, and ownership of core platform reliability.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, deploy, and maintain multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters across multiple AWS regions.
- Standardize internal developer platforms (IDP) to reduce service onboarding time to under ten minutes.
- Enforce zero-trust architecture, automated secret rotation, and strict network segmentation policies.
- Lead root-cause analysis for high-severity incidents and establish systemic prevention guardrails.
- Define service-level objectives (SLOs) and observability standards using Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
- Mentor senior engineers through technical design reviews and architectural decision records (ADRs).
Kualifikasi
- 8+ years of production experience managing distributed systems and Linux environments at scale.
- Deep expertise with Kubernetes internals, container runtimes, and service mesh technologies like Istio.
- Advanced proficiency in Go or Python for infrastructure tooling and automation engines.
- Hands-on mastery of Terraform or OpenTofu for infrastructure as code across complex topologies.
- Demonstrated experience designing high-throughput CI/CD pipelines with automated rollback capabilities.
- Strong background in distributed tracing, metric aggregation, and database performance tuning.
