United BC Team is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Field Service Engineer Lead to spearhead our on-site technical service operations in Penang. In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of deploying, maintaining, and optimizing cutting-edge industrial automation and smart manufacturing systems across high-profile client facilities.
As the on-site technical authority, you will manage a team of field engineers, direct technical diagnostics, and resolve complex automation challenges on the production floor. You will interface directly with key stakeholders to guarantee project delivery, operational safety, and system reliability, bridging the gap between field realities and engineering design.
The ideal candidate brings deep domain knowledge in electromechanical systems, PLC architectures, and Industry 4.0 frameworks, alongside demonstrated capability in leading technical teams under high-demand manufacturing schedules.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and coordinate on-site installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance of smart manufacturing and industrial automation systems.
- Supervise, mentor, and allocate tasks to field engineers and technical subcontractors.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues on PLC and robotic systems.
- Interface with client engineering teams to review system specifications and manage technical escalations.
- Enforce standard operating procedures, site safety compliance, and quality assurance standards.
- Prepare comprehensive service logs, incident analyses, and site performance reports.
- Conduct technical handover sessions and operational training for client engineering personnel.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on field service experience, including at least 2 years in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency with PLC programming and diagnostics (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Omron) and SCADA systems.
- Demonstrated experience working with industrial robotics, drive systems, and smart factory IoT integrations.
- Strong root-cause analysis and electromechanical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Willingness to travel locally to manufacturing facilities as required.
- Strong professional communication skills in English.
