Vanguard Data Systems is hiring a Senior Distributed Systems Engineer to scale our core high-throughput data processing pipeline. You will architect resilient distributed platforms, eliminate operational bottlenecks, and maintain 99.99% system availability under intense load.
This role offers high ownership over low-latency architecture, direct collaboration with infrastructure leadership, and modern tooling across cloud-native environments.
Tanggung Jawab
- Architect, implement, and maintain distributed backend services handling tens of billions of daily requests.
- Optimize event streaming, database queries, and caching mechanisms to maintain sub-millisecond latencies.
- Establish distributed tracing, observability, and alerting to proactively mitigate system degradation.
- Conduct cross-functional technical architecture reviews and enforce high engineering standards.
- Lead root-cause post-mortems and automate incident prevention strategies across production infrastructure.
- Mentor mid-level engineers in concurrency, performance tuning, and defensive API design.
Kualifikasi
- 5+ years of production experience architecting distributed backend systems in Go, Rust, or C++.
- Demonstrated experience operating Apache Kafka, Pulsar, or equivalent event-driven architectures.
- Deep understanding of distributed consensus, CAP theorem trade-offs, and fault-tolerant topologies.
- Proficiency with container orchestration, Linux kernel internals, and low-level networking primitives.
- Track record operating stateful workloads in Kubernetes environments at scale.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical work history.
